I challenged myself to write a brand new song completely from scratch, with lyrics, music, and a video all happening within four hours. (We started at 11:22 AM took a 30 minute lunch break and a 10 minute hagu break.) This was the result. Thanks to my sound engineer Matt Silverstein, who jumps into every dumb idea with unbridled enthusiasm and is the most terrifyingly efficient and smart collaborator I've ever seen. The dude played the guitar line and then recorded, mixed, and mastered this. While that was going on, I edited the video using loops he had shot of me while recording.
With the tools we have available these days, anybody can make a song super fast. All you gotta do is be brave and have low standards.
